Thelma Pasley – “The Queen”
Thelma Pasley, affectionately know as “the queen,” my mom..was a remarkable woman whose legacy continues to inspire her loved ones. Her dedication to serving others and making a difference in her community lives on through me, this is why I established the nonprofit organization Feed the City in her honor. This organization embodies Thelma’s spirt of compassion and generosity, aiming to provide support and resources to those in need. By carry on her legacy, I am not only honoring her memory but also continuing her legacy of kindness and service to others
Love you Mom...

Willie Thornton – Founder, CEO
I am Willie Thornton, CEO and founder of Feed the City a nonprofit organization that I established in 2017. My journey with Feed the City began with the profound influence of my late mother, who exemplified compassion and generosity through her actions. I vividly recall my childhood days when my mother, armed with a shopping cart and a large pot of food, walked the street of Overtown, selflessly sharing meals with those in need. While I may not have fully comprehended the significance of her efforts at the time, her unwavering dedication to helping others planted a seed of empathy within me.
As I matured, I came to realize the profound impact of my mother’s actions and the importance of giving back to the community. Inspired by her legacy, I decided to channel my energy and resources into creating Feed the City, a platform dedicated to providing essential support to individuals facing food insecurity. By following in my mother’s footsteps, I aim to continue her noble work and uphold the values of compassion and service that she instilled in me.
Through Feed the City, I strive to make a difference in the lives of those in need. Every meal shared, every smile brightened, and every heart touched serves as a testament to the enduring legacy of love and kindness. Together, we can build a stronger, more compassionate community where no one goes hungry or feel alone. Join me in this journey of hope, healing, and humanity as we work towards a brighter future for all.
Together, we can make a difference, one meal at a time.
